Birthday Blessing

Though it has been a somewhat trying few months, especially emotionally, I will forever find joy in my children. Today is my first born's 20th birthday, a blessing bestowed.  Gentle of soul, kind of heart,  slow to anger, but struck wire coursing with a keen mind, brilliant as a thousand universes, amazing to this mere mortal.  My son who will touch the world in a million wondrous ways, came into this world feet first ready to run and conquer, rapid spitfire of words, curiosity beyond measure and laughter, always laughter.  The world will continue to turn, the leaves will continue to change, the seasons will come and go, but you, my son, my joy, my heart, will be forever my blessing, my grace.
